Peep Chocolate Sandwiches
Double the fun, here's a delicious treat that serves up two Peeps at a time with a layer of chocolate in the middle. Delicious!
Ingredients
- 1 pkg candy melts (available at any craft store)
- 2 pkgs 4.5 oz Peeps (1 package of green and 1 of yellow)
- sprinkles
Preparation
Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Once the chocolate is ready, take a peep and dip the back of it in chocolate. Take another peep (of a different color) and adhere its back to the chocolate dipped side of the first peep... making a sandwich with chocolate in the middle. Sprinkle the chocolate with sprinkles and put on wax paper to wait for the chocolate to fully "set" (about 20-30 minutes)
Presentation
Once the chocolate sets, arrange on a platter and enjoy. If you like extra chocolate, you can dip both peeps into the chocolate for a double layer of chocolate.
